Benefits of CEREC Crowns & Bridges

From enduring messy impressions to waiting weeks for their final impression, patients of the past had to undergo a lot to receive a dental crown or bridge. Fortunately, CEREC changes everything. Some of the benefits of CEREC crowns and bridges include:

  • High-quality ceramic restorations that are safe, durable, and natural.
  • Creation and placement of permanent restoration in a single appointment, so you won’t have to return for the permanent crown or bridge.
  • No need for temporary restorations.
  • Digital, comfortable impressions instead of traditional gooey impressions.
  • Custom-designed restoration to provide the best possible fit and aesthetic.

How does the Process Work?

First, Dr. Zweber will take a digital impression of the teeth, and feed that impression to our CEREC machine. With CAD/CAM computer technology, Dr. Zweber will design a 3D model of your teeth and a customized crown or bridge. The machine will take her design and mill out the permanent ceramic restoration.

Once the milling process is complete, you and Dr. Zweber will take a look at the final product. She will make any adjustments necessary, and then place the restoration. You’ll be on your way in just 90 minutes or less with a stunning new smile!

What will my Results Look Like?

Usually, patients have to wait until their restorations come back from an outside lab. CEREC technology produces restorations instantly without sacrificing any of the integrity of these original crowns. Actually, CEREC crowns are better quality than many other types of crowns, with a natural aesthetic and a durable, safe ceramic material.

Your dentist will be with you throughout the procedure, so if any imperfections or problems arise, they can be easily corrected. Without the back and forth and countless dental appointments, you’ll see better results in a fraction of the time.

Dr. Zweber will work with you until you love your smile. If you would like more information on CEREC crowns or bridges or if you are ready to schedule an appointment, contact us at Cordata Dental Professionals — your dental home – today.
